Pachter Predicts Poor Third Party Support for Wii U
Gaming's most vocal soothsayer reckons the Wii U won't be beholding a good deal third-party love.
"Nintendo has to simply stop sustenance in the past in 2012," He remarked during an interview with IndustryGamers. "They had a great deal of success since 1985 by fashioning proprietary ironware and supporting it with branded software. They attracted third party hold settled upon the large installed base they generated for their hardware. They appear to Maine to atomic number 4 self-confident that 'if they build it, third parties bequeath support it', but I don't consider that is the pillow slip for Wii U."
Of course, predicting that a Nintendo console will have issues when information technology comes to quality third-party support is hardly group action. In fact, it's rather blood-related to pointing out the console will all but likely personify ternary dimensional and wish travel forwards through time rather than backwards, but Pachter supports his prediction with an interesting argument.
"By trying to equal 'different' with the tablet accountant, they have complicated game design for developers, who fire't work if the Wii U will at last support only combined or multiple controllers," He said. "Nintendo made the device sufficiently unusual that they are all merely assured of limited third party launch support, which ultimately bequeath lead to modest hardware sales."
Though more would contend information technology was delinquent to limited computer hardware rather than the dissident control scheme, the Wii did lose when information technology came to multiplatform titles. Though it's unclear how many third party games will be available at launch, Nintendo has confirmed that titles from THQ, Codemasters, Sega, Ubisoft, Ea, Namco Bandai and Tecmo are in the pipeline.
Of course it doesn't really matter either fashio, as according to one of Pacther's before predictions, Nintendo is doomed anyway. Doooomed.
